Honda Launches Green Worldwide Website And Wins Award

2 May 2008 - Honda Motor Co in Japan has opened a new special interest website, called "Green", that provides an overview of Honda's activities to reduce emissions and carbon dioxide throughout the entire production life-cycle.

The site - www.world.honda.com/green - highlights Honda's passion in developing non-fossil fuel alternatives to provide a safer, greener future for our next generations.

Honda concurrently utilises a global environment logo to symbolize the company’s proactive engagement in environmental conservation.

Corporate policies include making efforts to recycle, and conserve resources; making every effort to minimize and find appropriate methods to dispose of waste and contaminants; focusing on the importance of making efforts to preserve human health and the global environment, and considering the influence that corporate activities have on the regional environment and society.

As further evidence of the company’s commitment, Brandchannel, the world’s leading online exchange about branding, has recognized Honda as one of the top ranked brands in its first brandjunkie awards in the “truly going green” category.

Honda was chosen as one of the most powerful brands that impact consumer’s behaviour and perceptions from over a hundred submitted entries in that category.

Rankings are based on the answers of almost 2,000 readers living in 107 countries. Conducted online from February 24 to March 9, 2008, the brandjunkie award survey asked respondents to identify one brand that best fits the criteria for each of the ten survey questions.
