Learner to Licence
Where?
HART have two training centres in Melbourne:
- NORTH - HART Somerton, 200 Hume Highway Somerton
- East – HART Kilsyth 112 Colchester Rd, Kilsyth
When?
HART centres operate 7 days a week, all year round. Courses are conducted either:
- Over one 4 hour session
- or over three sessions between 3.15pm and 5 pm.

This three session course is designed for students who have attained their motorcycle learner permit and is designed to introduce skills and topics that go above and beyond the Vic Roads' Learner Permit requirements including more road-related riding exercises and Hazard Perception training.
The H.A.R.T Learner to Licence is a four hour course, conducted either in one half day, or over three afternoon sessions. The course introduces many road-related practical skills that new riders can put into use everyday, as well as advanced RoadCraft and Hazard Perception training aimed at improving their interaction with other road users. These skills are practiced both on the HART training range and using Honda Riding Simulators prior to taking part in a supervised road ride where each student will receive individual feedback on their RoadCraft from HART’s expert instructors.
