This course has been designed specifically for those who already have their Motorcycle Learner Permit and wish to gain their Motorcycle licence. The course runs over one day and covers practical skills and testing as well as the Motorcycle licence Test.
The HART licence Course is a six hour course over one full day. The course addresses practical skills such as straight line braking, corner braking, cornering lines, counter steering, slow speed riding and exercises which combine different skills within the one exercise.
Many of these skills are assessed during licence testing. During the latter part of the course you will be tested for the M.L.S.T (Motorcycle licence Skill Test) which you must pass in order for a motorcycle licence to be issued.
The course fee is inclusive of testing for the Victorian Motorcycle licence, licence issue fee, use of motorcycle, helmet, gloves and wet weather gear during the course. The motorcycles provided for you to use on these courses are a Honda CB250, or upon request a Honda scooter or Honda CT110.
On the day you will need to bring:
- Your current Victorian Motorcycle Learner Permit (which you must have held for a minimum of three months in the period immediately before applying for a licence)
- Your current Australian Car Learner Permit or Australian Car Licence.
- If you only hold a Motorcycle Learner Permit (No Australian Car Licence) you will need to attend a Vic Roads office, prior to attending HART, and successfully complete the Hazard Perception Test (HPT). Please request a letter from Vic Roads to confirm your result and supply this letter to HART. An additional fee of $22.00 will be payable to HART when you are issued with a 1st issue Licence.

You must not be currently suspended, refused or disqualified from holding a vehicle Licence in Australia or Overseas
HART centres operate year round with courses beginning at 8.30am and finishing at 4.00pm. HART now offers one same day retest included in your course fee.
